10 Willson Mellophones on eBay

Hello Beloved Alumni!

I’ve promised to let the alumni know when UNL instruments are for sale on eBay and I’m hoping you’ll spread the word to everyone. 10 Willson mellophones  (affectionately known as “frumpets”) have been removed from inventory and will be posted on eBay shortly. The campus organization handling the sale is UNL Surplus Solutions (unlsurplussolutions@unl.edu). All inquiries should be directed to Surplus Solutions as they will be happy to supply the link to the instruments as well as answer prospective buyers questions.

Thanks to Chuck and his peeps, the mellophones have been refurbished and should fetch a pretty penny!

Thank you for all you do, and have a lovely weekend!

Drumline Getting Noticed

The UNL Drumline has been getting a lot of attention recently. If you have been to a football game this year, you may have seen the drumline promote recycling with Pepsi. If you don’t have tickets, here’s the commercial.

Yamaha Percussion Instruments has also used the UNL Drumline in a recent ad seen here.

School of Music celebrates $8 million gift from Glenn Korff

The gift from the fourth generation Nebraskan creates a permanently endowed fund to provide annual support for students, faculty and programs within the school, which is part of the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts.
