UNL Middle and High School Summer Camps are July 6-12, 2014

If you or someone you know has kids in middle or high school, let them know they can attend the Middle School Band Camp or High School Band Camp at UNL. It’s a great recruiting tool for the CMB and tons of fun for all who attend. Registration is currently open until June 6, 2014. Camp is July 6-10, 2014.

Middle School Camp is for students entering the 6th grade through the end of the 8th grade.

High School Camp is for students entering the 9th grade through leaving 12th grade (including graduates). Instruction clinics are available for drum majors, leadership, percussion, marching fundamentals, and color guard.

Twirling fulfills dreams, upholds tradition for Husker baton twirlers

As the 90,000 fans of Memorial Stadium look on, Morgan Miller hurls a baton 100 feet in the air. If it isn’t thrown with the right amount of revolutions, the wind could take it. If it lands before she completes a series of spins and leaps, it might fall to the ground or even hit her. But it doesn’t. Miller snatches the baton out of the air, and the crowd erupts into cheers.
