Jack Snider, 93, Lincoln, died Friday, February 20, 2015, of natural causes. Born July 24, 1921 in McCook, Neb., to Harvey Martin and Alice Elizabeth (Amen) Snider. Served as director of bands/marching band and professor of French horn at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1950-1986. Graduate of UNL with undergrad and masters degrees in music. (more…)

William Paul Beave II, 69, of Lincoln, died on Sunday, January 11, 2015. He was born on March 31, 1945 in Omaha to William Paul and Esther (Eberspacher) Beave. He was a photographer, musician, and former police officer. Bill was a former member of the UNL Band Alumni Association’s board of directors for many years. (more…)
