In past comments to marching band faculty (Dr.Carolyn B. and “Tony”) and also to former Alumni Band officers that it sure would be nice before I no longer can march onto the field that our old 1960 entrance march from the field southend,”Entrance of the Gladiators”be played like we did ,120 guys raising their legs and stepping out from the endzone. I also mentioned in a letter to faculty they might want to consider to enthusiastically honor the “troopers” on the field with a workup on the ABBA music,”Super Trooper” and having the whole audience sing along.
We are working on it and hope to make something like this happen- stay tuned!
Steve Halter here. Just to correct my information – I’m shown as not having any parents who played in the band. My Dad did – around 1929 to 1933.
