It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our alumnus, Jeremy Blomstedt, on August 5, 2020, after a courageous battle with liver cancer. Today (July 24) would have been Jack’s 99th birthday! One way we’re celebrating is by announcing a 3rd scholarship: “The Jack R. Snider Freshman Band Scholarship”. Fellow Alums, The UNL BAA board made the decision that we should cancel our reunion plans for the fall of 2020. With so much of this college football and marching band season up in the air, we believe that the best course of action is to postpone until 2021. This decision is being made for (more…)
Delphine L. (Ayers) Sanks, 93, of Kearney, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, at her home. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Kearney Area Animal Shelter, Peterson Senior Center, First Presbyterian Church of Kearney, Rowe Sanctuary, and Salvation Army of Kearney. Douglas Samuel Chappell, 84, of Scottsbluff, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at his home. While attending Scottsbluff High School, Doug was active in basketball, band, and Student Council.
