Hi Band Alumni, we’ve got a couple of opportunities coming up where a few extra hands from our alumni family would be a huge help.
Help keep the CMB cool during Band Camp.
You know that band camp means long, hot days—and we’d love to help the students cool off a little.
We’re looking for volunteers to pick up freeze pops for 300 band members on August 17 and August 19. You’d purchase the freeze pops, bring them to the Vine Street fields around 8 p.m., and we’ll reimburse you. Just hang on to your receipt.
If you’re in Lincoln and can help with one (or both!) of these evenings, please let us know (info@nebandalums.org). It’s a pretty easy way to do something nice for the students while they’re putting in all those hours at camp.
Help welcome the newest members of our band family
KKY is also looking for alumni/veterans to help with New Member Move-In on Friday, August 14.
Remember what it was like moving into college for the first time? Exciting, but probably a little overwhelming, too. Having some familiar faces around can make a big difference for those new students as they get settled in.

Whether you can bring freeze pops, help with move-in, or simply spread the word, we appreciate you continuing to be there for the next generation of the band.
