Code of Conduct and Sportsmanship

All members and alumni of the Cornhusker Marching Band serve as representatives of the organization, the University and the State of Nebraska at all times they are identifiable as such.

  • Band Alumni will conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times in accordance with the Husker Athletics Sportsmanship Code of Conduct.
  • The use of profanity when in uniform, or when identifiable as alumni of the Marching Band is prohibited.
  • The consumption of alcohol and use of other controlled substances before or during rehearsals or performances and when in uniform is prohibited.
  • Infractions will be dealt with at the discretion of the UNL Band Alumni Board of Directors, Nebraska Bands Staff, and/or Memorial Stadium security.
Instrument Rental Policy

The there are a limited number of instruments available for the reunion weekend. Instruments can be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis on the reunion weekend registration form online. Please note:  Clarinets, alto or tenor saxophones, trumpets, and trombones are not available for rental.

The Band Alumni Association, Inc. assumes the costs associated for repairs and maintenance of the university owned instruments used for the reunion weekend. To maintain the instruments in good working order, there is a $15 per instrument rental fee.

A $5 rental fee is automatically applied for flagline members to cover the rental and maintenance of our flags and bag, and pit percussion to cover the maintenance of mallets/sticks. Flagline and pit percussion members do not need to complete the instrument rental form.

Westbrook Music Building Security Policy

WMB will be locked during the game. You are welcome to leave personal items there while at the game. If you rented an instrument, there will be no one at the cage to return the instrument to and you will be responsible to return it after the game.

FOR THE SAFETY OF THE BUILDING AND ITS OCCUPANTS, do NOT open doors for entry into WMB. All current band members, staff and alumni must enter through the northeast doors ONLY. The University Police Department has put security into place for the building and we must abide by their security requirements.

Memorial Stadium: Field Pass Policy

Performing alumni are issued a lanyard with a field pass. YOU MUST WEAR YOUR FIELD PASS AT ALL TIMES! Any person sitting with the Alumni Band without a field pass will be asked to leave immediately by Memorial Stadium Security. Non-performing alumni, spouses, children, or guests must pay for a ticket and sit in the stands.

Memorial Stadium: Clear Bag Policy

Only clear tote bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” will be allowed into ticketed Nebraska events. One-gallon clear plastic bags and/or small handheld purses (4.5” x 6.5”) will also be allowed to enter. Please see huskers.com/bagpolicy for more information.

Memorial Stadium: No Re-entry Policy

Memorial Stadium is No Re-Entry. All tickets will be electronically scanned to verify authenticity upon entry. After initial entry, if a patron leaves the stadium, their ticket will become invalid. At the start of the fourth quarter there will be no entry.

Nebraska Athletics is Cashless

All concessions, including hawkers moving through the stands in Memorial Stadium, as well as chairback and game-day program purchases are cashless.
