*Friday night venue- Blue Blood Brewery! (See previous blog post for details)

*You asked, we listened! Included on this year’s registration is a check box to give your permission to post your name at an attendee of this year’s reunion. We’ll be posting on our site so that you can see which of your friends have registered!

*The “post game party” will be a luncheon between rehearsals, as we held last year, in the Apothecary. See “Game Day Schedule” for more details. We’ll be serving pizza, Runzas, salad, dessert, and a pop!

New Venue for Alumni weekend Friday picnic!

Registration for the 2017 reunion goes live this weekend! Stay tuned!

There is an exciting new change in store for band alumni attending reunion weekend September 1-2 this fall! We will be moving our Friday night picnic to Blue Blood Brewery located at 925 Robbers Cave Rd in Lincoln, NE, which is off of Nebraska Highway 2, between Pioneers Blvd and Van Dorn Streets.

This exciting new venue will bring us closer to the action, as one of the CMB pep bands plays two sets at Blue Blood every Friday night before home games at 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Alumni attending the Friday dinner will have “front stage” access to the brewery floor for the pep band set at 8:30 p.m.

The dinner will include a buffet of hamburgers, brats, potato salad, baked beans, and cookie/brownie. The cost of the dinner will be $15; soda will be available for $1 and beer for $5 at the bar. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and food will be available at 5:45 p.m.

At 6:30 p.m., we will hold our annual business meeting and hear from the band staff, as they update us on the band program and upcoming season!

Parking will be available in the brewery’s parking lot, the UHaul lot next door, or the parking lot at Van Dorn Park, located to the north of the brewery. Golf carts driven by the brewery staff will be available to pick you up if you do end up parking farther than you wished to, although none of the parking is too far away from the building itself.

All ages are welcome at the picnic! You must preregister as space is somewhat limited. Registration for this event will be included on the registration page, and the link will be available this weekend!

We hope you are able to join us this year!
